What is Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN)?

FDN is a holistic, evidence-based approach designed to uncover the root causes of chronic health issues not linked to conventional disease. By analyzing comprehensive health histories and utilizing at-home lab testing, certified practitioners (FDNPs) work alongside clients to identify internal and external stressors such as hormonal imbalances, digestive problems, metabolic dysfunction, and more. Based on test results, FDNPs develop personalized, drug-free plans to address these issues through targeted nutritional protocols, lifestyle changes, and supplementation.

The FDN process is dynamic, as we continually refine the plan based on your feedback, ensuring you're always moving toward better health.

Additional Costs

At the core of FDN is the principle that every person is biochemically unique. Most clients will undergo a standard set of three to five functional laboratory tests, but we may need to substitute one or more labs for others based on what we discover in your intake session or the symptoms you report. Similarly, each person’s supplements, if needed at all, will vary based on lab results. For this reason, lab fees and supplement costs are not included in the price of service packages. 

Planning for Lab Fees 

FDN practitioners order lab tests on behalf of clients, who pay lab fees directly to various providers. While we do not set prices for labs, the fees shown here are typical and may be used for budgeting purposes.
